The third Sunday of Advent is Gaudete Sunday. The color of the vestments and the third candle in the advent wreath are rose. Today we rejoice!
The first reading is ZEP 3:14-18A - it is a joyful reading. The second reading is Paul PHIL 4:4-7 who tells us to rejoice in the Lord always.
The Gospel is LK 3:10-18, the story of John the Baptist baptizing and preaching the good news that the Savior is coming.
