Cottage cheese is always tasty when there is 4% milkfat. Serve it alone, with sweet onion and tomato chopped into it, or buzzed up into a smoothy. You can also put a big dollop into hot chicken with rice soup. It is delicious that way.

You can have dinner foods for breakfast and breakfast foods for dinner. Don't get stuck in a rut. Change it up!

Find holiday foods with high nutritional values.
Pumpkin bread made with whole grains and good oil.
Smoothies made with yogurt and fruit.
Sandwiches with fresh veggies.

Here's a tip that is especially important during the holiday season. Limit your holiday baking and candy making. Just make your family's absolute favorites. Make enough so that people will not feel deprived, but not so many that you will snack on them for days or weeks.

Don't be afraid to throw food in the trash. Of course, it is better not to waste food, but if something doesn't taste right, or you are too full, just toss it out!
