Many foods are associated with a traditional American Thanksgiving dinner. But what do you suppose would be on the menu for Thanksgiving in space? Would you have to squeeze turkey paste out of a tube and get gelatin-covered dessert cubes? No. Food has improved since the early days of space flight.

NASA astronauts, Scott Kelly and Kjell Lindgren, sent a Thanksgiving message from the space station

The Americans and their Japanese colleague will have the day off today, though I don't think they're going out anywhere. The three cosmonauts are working, but they'll join the others for a Thanksgiving dinner. (I understand that despite there being space-grown lettuce on the ISS that salads won't be on the menu.)
