Something I just started realizing is that a ton of memiors don't have actual endings. They just sort of stop, where ever the author is at in life, even though the theme of the memoir is not resolved.

I am finding this in more and more books. I know people's lives are still ongoing, but still. You'd think they wait to publish until they reached some kind of conclusion. A memoir is not supposed to be like a blog! :-)

One of my very favorites is Lauren Bacall's By Myself. As she and Bogie fell in love, I fell in love with both of them!

I prefer fiction but once in a while I will read some because it's a change and I also enjoy it.
