Who was Murphy - can anyone say?

Anyway we know it works well in the garden ... I hope these make you smile, perhaps when weeding and 'choring' in one way or another. I don't know who wrote them but they must be a gardener because this has happened to many I would say.

** Your lawn is always slightly bigger than your desire to mow it.

** Whichever garden tool you want is always at the back of the shed.

Can you add any? Please do,

Cheers

I don't know who Murphy was but the name sounds Irish!

Here are two more of his laws ...

** The only way to ensure rain, is to give the garden a good soaking.

** Weeds grow at precisely the rate you pull them out.

Ag ja.

and some others ...

** Nothing ever looks like it does on the seed packet.
** Autumn follows summer, winter follows autumn, drought follows planting.
** However bare the lawn, grass will appear in the cracks between the patio paving stones.
**Evergreens go a funny shade of brown in the winter.

Cheers

According to Wikipedia (which, of course, knows everything) Edward Aloysius Murphy, Jr. (January 11, 1918 – July 17, 1990[1]) was an American aerospace engineer who worked on safety-critical systems. He is best known as the namesake of Murphy's law, which is said to state, "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong."

But with that name, I guess we'd say Irish-American.
