Can stress make you fat? That's an alarming thought considering we all live with stress on a daily basis. Constant anxiety and tension can lead to hormonal imbalance, poor eating habits, and weight gain. How do you handle stress-related weight gain?

Oh excellent article Alice! Back in 2010 I was so pleased, because I was at my lowest weight in years. Within three years, I'd put on a third of the weight I'd lost.

Stress. Big, ugly, stress.

What I do now - more fresh fruits and veggies.

I'm even considering going VEGAN. This is something my daughter would like too, but it's just such a huge shift. We thought we'd start with Vegan Mondays LOL!!!

I've noticed my daughter has put on a little bit of weight too... I feel bad about this - kids feel our stress too. So, I've also put a a plan into place for getting her into more activities that she enjoys.

Thanks Alice - it's a nice reminder that I'm not the only one going through this LOL!

That's one reason for the park walk today. Since the house fire in May, I lost 20 lb. and went down to 147. I was so happy, but I was in and out of the hospital for 2 months, not breathing and not eating.

Anyway, I'm back up to 159! Aaaaahhhhh! Very stressful time, still is as we are not back to work yet! And, my daughters have packed on a few pounds too, along with hubby. It's such a battle!

Allyson, that's a pretty traumatic way to lose weight too!

I'm looking forward to making a few lifestyle changes, with my daughter. I just tell her it's "homeschooling," and so there LOL!!

I think it will be great though.

I think working on handling stress is the biggest thing for both of us.

And I am just so glad you and your family are doing okay after that fire! How scary!
