Yup Dorothy Hamill is what my mom loved. Here's a picture of me in high school - I'm right in the middle with the "Preservation Of" sign. This was for a girl scout parade. At the time, there were no Red M&Ms and would you believe some people thought we were Communists for wanting them back!!

the long hair is really starting to get TOO long and bother me, so I'm tempted to cut it at least half way back up my back.
wow, great hair Lisa! eek
My favorite length of long hair is right at the shoulders or slightly below because it moves and swings. It makes it easier to turn your head. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

That's my problem right now, it's so long that when I'm sitting down it catches behind my back, when I'm lying in bed my head gets pinned to the bed, it's very, very tedious. Never mind trying to keep it brushed and neat. But I have this huge "medieval" love and I'm afraid the hair plays right into that. I read too much Tolkein and King Arthur as a child ...

Who are you to tell your kid she cannot have an hair cut? I would of understand waiting a while since she is young to be sure that is what she really wanted but that long was mean. That hair does not belong to the mother or anyone else it belong to the daughter!

The hairdresser I had when I was living in Saint-Hubert was cool with kids, she would make sure the parents were far away so she could ask alone to each kids if that was really what they wanted. A lot of the parents were angry when they came back and saw that she did not do what they had asked but she did not care and told them that. Even a few took their kids and went elsewhere for their children's hair cut.
