What kind of salon do you go to?
How many chairs?
Full service or just hair or just hair and nails?
Do you like small salons of large?

I don't like big salons at all, you want to feel relaxed in a salon not a noisy, bustling place! I think a good salon should have at the most 7 hairdressing seats, any more and its like a supermarket check-out! I think full service is a great idea as often you would have to make seperate appointments for waxing etc

hey lynne, i usually go to a small, family salon which i feel comfortable in as i know everyone there! Altho i must admit that if i want something different then the usual trim i do tend to look around at the more trendy looking places!

Sometimes hairdressers in small salons are not comfortable with trendy styles. Although sometimes all you have to do is ask them. You could be surprised! :rolling:

When I was living in Saint-Hubert the last one I went to was my favorite. It was in a shopping mall so not huge but it had many hairdressers and each had their space. Mine had her space in a kind of balcony (only 1 step but still it was above the others there were a few other hairdressers there too) the sinks were hiding behind a wall and the products near there in another room but with no door. She was awesome, funny, would never do something that would end up looking awful and when she had kids as clients she always made sure to end up alone with them to be sure that what their parents asked was what they wanted.

Here I went to a place in the same building as my aesthetician is in Rimouski, I love the cut she gave me but hate her attitude and way of working so I'm looking for another place. I want an haircut next month so I better hurry up. Mom went to a place in Mont-Joli and she loves it there, dad too had a few haircuts there and him too likes it, I may try it.
