Mexican actor/singer Alfonso Herrera will play the lead in the new Fox series based on the film "Urban Cowboy". Herrera will be playing Kyle, a version of the role originally played by John Travolta. In the series, Kyle will be a Latino, landing in Houston after fleeing drug violence in Mexico. Due to Herrera's musical background, music is going to be prominently featured in the show. Herrera made his American debut in the Netflix series "Sense8".
