According to my new scale I weigh 177 --- not the 170 I thought. I am so bummed and ready to scream. I am going to start watching and write down everything I eat in a food journal.

That happened to me recently. I'm about 8 pounds heavier than I had been previously. Seriously bummed. But I don't keep a food journal. How's that going? Have you gleaned any useful information from your entries?

I have found that when I focus on feeling "pudgy," I gain weight. What I think becomes my reality.

Hi Alice ..
Nothing to indicate in my food journal. Weight continued to rise until Saturday when it went to 185! Today it's still going down and is at 180.

I recently had a weight shocker too - I was at my doctor, and had put on over 10 pounds in the last year. That's so frustrating, because a few years ago I'd lost over 50 pounds. Though, it was a super crazy diet, and it took like 8 months - it was the HCG diet.

I've just been under so much stress ACH!

So Sheryl, on your example, I think I'll start keeping a food journal too. I know when I'm stressed, I eat, so with this journal, hopefully I'll "think" before I eat - and I can pick another action to sooth my stress.

Like knitting. Furiously knitting! HA HA!
