In some parts of the world Urban and 'Wilderness' survival can overlap. When I was in Japan back in the 1989 I was exploring the Ueno region, where the Ninja oringinated, in the depths of winter. On one trip to visit a particular shrine and museum I came to the bus stop only to find the next bus wasn't for several hours (it's a seriously remote region- or was then) and it began to snow heavily along with a significant temperature drop. Standing at the bus stop I realised I wasn't really dressed for that type of weather and was running the risk of hypothermia. There were two vending machines at the bus stop, but they only sold refrigerated items. However, I realised that there were heat exchange coils in the back and, by squeezing between the two machines, I was able to stay warm- and even have a little nap - until the bus arrived.
The bus driver didn't see me between the machines, mainly because he never looked, and I got on the bus when his back was turned. From his expression when he re-boarded the bus I think he took me for a forest spirit as he didn't approach me even to check my ticket!
