I agree, Nancy. I don't think diamonds are a girl's best friend. I don't think I'd even be able to wear expensive jewelry. I'm always losing things and I'd be in a complete panic about it. And I don't think the $£€ price of a gift would mean as much as the thoughtfulness behind it.
