Michael Caine has traveled to the Cannes Film Festival for only the second time in his long career. He first appeared at Cannes in 1966 when "Alfie" was screened. This year, he walked the red carpet in support of his film "Youth", which co-stars Harvey Keitel and Jane Fonda. At a press conference, Caine said he really loved this film. Also, he stated, "The only alternative to playing elderly people is playing dead people." The 82-year-old actor said with a smile that he had made the smart choice, he played the elderly.
