I do a lot of deep breathing when I'm stressed. When my mom gets agitated (she has dementia) I'll ask her to breath deeply - and bless her, she will do it! She was always a meditator, and remembers, somewhere in her experiences, that she learned of the benefits of deep breathing.
It works! I also have lavender and ylang ylang in a roll on (with a coconut oil base) that I use faithfully when I'm stressed.
