I think a lot of people will miss it but I agree that it's time to go. The show really took a bit hit when Simon left and it never really recovered.

Although I haven't watched it much, I agree. Simon made the show. Everyone liked tuning in to see what he'd say next.

The irony is that he left to start X Factor and that show was cancelled after only 3 seasons.
