Robert Redford and his wife Sibylle will receive the 2015 Prince Rainier III Award in a gala ceremony held on Sept. 5th in Monaco. The award is sponsored by the Princess Grace Foundation. It is to honor a leader in the arts whose accomplishments are coupled with demonstrated service to the community. The awards ceremony will be hosted by Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene of Monaco.

He certainly deserves it. His generosity from his Newman's Own Products is outstanding. He's one of the few I see that make that kind of money and really give back.

Good news! I've been a fan even before he was a superstar. And have certainly respected his environmental work and support for artistic talent like the Sundance festival.

Just to clarify - Paul Newman created Newman's Own products to support his charitable work. Robert Redford is the founder of the Sundance Institute, which supports independent filmmaking and sponsors the Sundance Film Festival each year in Park City, Utah. Redford also created the Redford Family Trust - to date it has conserved over 5,000 acres of land as part of the Wilderness Act. Newman and Redford were friends, of course, having starred in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and "The Sting". Thanks for posting!

Well I got totally confused. Sorry. My brain took a vacation and forgot to tell me. Robert Redford deserves it too. Great guy and a great actor too!
