I'm not sure. I think people with low IQs, or people with brain damage/injuries can also be very creative and find therapy and comfort in creative tasks - especially those that are repetitive in motion like crochet and knitting. Maybe they wouldn't be able to come up with their own patterns and ideas, but then who knows - maybe they can?
But I'm sure you'll also find that some of our greatest creative minds had huge IQs - I imagine Da Vinci would have tested through the roof!
