Michelle, i loved your bit about Moby Dick! That's awesome you managed to get an A on that report!! I was in honors English as well, and our Sophomore teacher put the fear of god in us if we even THOUGHT about using Cliffs notes! She paid special attention while making quizzes and tests that a student who had only read the Cliffs Notes version of the book would not pass.

5. One book we didn't read, our English teacher told us the story chapter by chapter, about a pilot named Douglas Badder. Very inspirational story and I remember more of that than any of the others.

The school I went to rarely gave books to read. I can only remember White Fang by Jack London and this could of actually been in primary school not high school.
