Author Adrian McKinty is known best to me as the author of the Detective Sean Duffy novels that focus on "The Troubles" in Ireland in the 1980's. I really enjoyed the three books in that series.
The Sun is God is written from the standpoint of a group of nudists who inhabit a small island to live their own way. Of course, the government of that time have other plans.
In 1906, Lieutenant William Prior was sent to a small island inhabited by a small group of German nudists when one of them died of Malaria. During the investigation Prior finds that it wasn't malaria at all, but quite possibly murder.
