We had a discussion going over in "Cooking for kids" about who was wearing green for St. Patty's, and one of the editors made the comment that she didn't own any green. "My wardrobe is mostly gray and black. Basically the typical depressed, overly-emotional person's wardrobe".

I suffer from clinical depression, and although I do own green (grin), the majority of my closet IS black.

How many people base what color they wear on what mood they are in?

Chelle,

I have changed my wardrobe over the year and it's a lot based on the moods I am in.

Now I have more color in my wardrobe because I am happy, energetic and such. It's amazing what some good medication and counseling will do for you.

Me, too - I can get very depressed. My wardrobe is also heavy with black. I started incorporating turquoise and pink into it and I did feel better. Purples and greens are also there (I am a winter in seasonal color - and dark colors do look better on me)

Now, I usually wear black to show off my jewelry - not my mood.

My favorite color is purple and my new minivan is metallic purple and I get so many compliments on the shade. I go for comfort and then color, not many are black, lately many are green and white combinations (shirts).

I suffer from depression which started when I was very young and I have never dressed and never bought clothes based on that. My moods too have never played a role on how I dress and what clothes I buy.
