This recipe was made by my grandmother-in-law for decades, and devoured by all - in big batches.

Although it may not be the healthiest recipe on the earth - and there are a lot of those going around - it's a treat once in a while to savor the traditions of Italian cooks and just splurge a little. And anyway, who said you have to eat a lot of these addicting little fried pastries? lol

The Italian fried pastries look tempting! I have learned that they are a huge part of 'Carnevale' in Italy.

It's like fairground/street food. Just like Disneyland/world or Knotts Berry Farm in California with their funnel cake (oh! delish.) same concept - a fried pastry with powdered sugar and whatever else you want to slather all over it. I don't eat them right now as I'm watching what I eat, and losing weight. But, I'm not going to say I won't eat them ever again. lol

Thanks so much for this recipe. My grandmother and great- grandmother used to make these. I'm going to make a huge batch of these.
