Loved this article too. I'll keep this one and your others on writing at hand when I do my second rewrite. Very informative information put forth in a way I'd never heard of before. The movie example was great. It made your point very nicely. Thanks again, Jana

hmmmm have to think about this. You are looking at writing with a different perspective and I like it. I think I want to explore other ways to incorporate visual effects by adjusting voice and view. Thank you.

Hi Karena,

Thank you for your post. There are a lot of ways to incorporate visual effects by adjusting voice and view in creative nonfiction as well as all nonfiction.

I"d love to hear what you are experimenting with.

Have a great week,

I just never thought in those terms, though I probably should have after writing drama.I think in sound, so visuals are not up front for me. I seem to have an excellent visual memory, but I am not sure how the info is stored, since I never see images in my head. However, in developing educational games I want to involve all the senses. It is an interesting idea to use sound to simulate visuals in a non-visual medium. I like the ideas.

I do a version of looking through a camera lens. I bought a little 97 cent plastic picture frame at Wal-Mart. I look through it to see a specific view of a room or scene rather than a general one. It's a great tool.
