You can send greeting cards with beautiful Hubble Space Telescope images. They're designed so they can be used for any of the winter holidays.

There are several download options. And if you want cards printed at a local photolab, there's a sheet you can print stating that they're copyright-free. Otherwise you can use an online photo service or print them yourself.

But perhaps you email some (or all) of your holiday greetings. If so, since you can download an image as a jpeg (or pdf), you can insert it into a file with your greetings and news. It makes for an unusual and attractive greeting.

The European Space Agency (ESA) has a a site for festive e-greetings. There is a selection of space-related images and at the top of the frame a rolling succession of festive greetings in numerous languages. (I don't even recognize a lot of them!) What you send is in postcard format.

If you have a friend or relative of any age who's a space fan, this might be fun for them.

You choose the picture & write your message. ESA emails you a link & you use that to send the card. (Stops people using the site for anonymous messages.) Your recipiient gets the picture surrounded by the red background and succession of seasonal greetings. They click to see the message on the other side, and there's an option to download it as a PDF.

These aren't holiday cards, but I thought I'd mention them anyway. Physlink.Com offers a set of 9 Einstein quotations with 3 pictures each of Einstein, astronomy pictures and nature pictures. This is a free web-based service

The quotations show some of the different aspects of Einstein. I think lots of creative people would like the one below.
