From your post i found that you really loved that person but due to third person you are trying to make boundary between you and your loved one. But i believe that it is not the life to escape from your problem and just for someone else you are going to give up. You have to show your affection towards him/her so that he may have the another options to choose the better one and may be it will be you. So, don't give up for others and try to fight with your problems.
