Try using aloe vera extract, argan oil and keratin treatment. For home remedies, try using mayonnaise, honey, coconut oil, milk, green tea, and pure aloe vera.

Greying hair is hereditary. However, some might find that they have premature greying hair because of a vitamin deficiency. Check with your doctor to determine that fact. In the meantime, here is a home remedy that I have used. Perfect for those with black or brown hair. Boil fresh rosemary leaves in a cup of water. Let the water cool and use it to rinse hair after shampooing. The rosemary deepens dark hair and makes grey hair less apparent.

Like BB said greying of hair is definitely hereditary, but some times your diet and life style also causes greying of hair. I am facing the similar problem. While my parents had grey hair quite late in life (in 50's), I started getting grey hair in late 20's.

The doctor I consulted told me to take Calcium supplements. According to her, lack of Calcium in diet can also cause greying of hair.

Home remedies that I have tried:
Take amla (Gooseberry) powder soak it overnight and apply it to the hair roots. Leave it for 1/2 to 1 hour and then wash your hair with a gentle shampoo (those used for coloured hair).

Please note that this is quite messy! So apply it with care, wear gloves and a washable shower cap.

I hope this helps.

Hello there,

Herbs are wonderful in all sorts of ways! I believe rinsing your hair after every wash with a strong solution of sage tea helps with grey hair - I don't think it will cover grey hair like colouring would but it seems to soften the colour so that the grey does not stand out as much.

Boil the sage leaves and leave to cool, strain and use that water for the rinse. It does not keep beyond 2-3 days so you need to make fresh lots regularly. Of course you would not use sage that has been sprayed with insecticides or obtained from an unknown source ... grow your own I say.

You can use Rosemary in a similar way to stop balding and promote hair growth. I love using rosemary - it leaves my hair shiny and I don't smell like salad!

Cheers

There's a product you can get at a beauty supply store called Gray Drops. A friend of mine uses it and you can't tell her color isn't totally natural.
