That's a lovely cover! I agree that I have to work on the blue woman. She looks like she's wearing a blanket. OK what do you guys think of this one? The novel is set in Surrey; that's where the image is from. I like to be authentic .

The cover for Creating Memories - A Medieval Romance is tricky with the bright scene. Ideas?

A first cut on Looking Back - I'm having technical difficulties with iStock so the woman is rough for now. I can only use the public thumbnail and not the full size version I bought (without a watermark). Thoughts?

Working on the new cover for Lady In Red - A Medieval Romance - what do you think? - this is a gentler story than some of my other ones. She's not a swordswoman as much as a dutiful daughter who is tackling an injustice.

Believing Your Eyes - A Medieval Romance is a tale of overcoming hardship - thoughts on the new cover? This one does involve a large stone keep, so I can finally use the "traditional" background . And yes, it's set in this part of England.

OK here's a challenge. For Finding Peace I have both the medallion from my previous cover plus the silver IPPY award I won. Hmmm.

Hello Lisa,
I have only just come across this topic and I think it is a really interesting one.
As a reader only, I have not really thought much about the impact of the front cover of a book in terms of what I choose to read...I go for the author or the subject matter or the series or whatever. It is interesting therefore to see your books in this pictorial summary as it were.
Speaking of two cents and all I would say the following -
Use The Lady in Red as your template. Use the same font and colour always, the same spacing, the same size and position for 'a medieval romance'
Always place LISA SHEA bottom right as with Finding Peace.
Keep the medallion always but lose the IPPY award on the front cover; it makes it too busy for my choice and detracts rather than enhances; maybe write it up in the front inside cover together with the enticing storyline summary?
To balance LISA SHEA in the bottom right corner, take the sword out of the lady's hands and place it under the title lower upper (sounds Irish!) left corner, facing down (cross bar at the top blade down).
I love your real photographic backgrounds, they make me want to 'see your books with my hands' which will encourage me to buy them.
I have not seen any of your books in South Africa - are they distributed here?
Say cheers for now,

Lestie - I appreciate all your thoughts! I can't always use the same font color because the landscapes are wildly different. A color that would work on one would be invisible on the other. Here's the set so far, so you can see that - The books are all on Amazon and should be available in all markets.
