Hi all, I am trying to sort out my witchcraft shop, but I'm kind of lost when it comes to tarot. I'd like to know what the most common starter deck is for new readers, as I'd like to put those in their own categories. Is there any one particular type of deck?

Hi

I agree, the Rider Waite Deck is by far the most popular deck to begin reading the Tarot. The pictorial images give the learner all the information in a clear and concise manner.
A knowledge of symbols helps learners to read the tarot cards more easily.

Definitely the Rider-Waite deck. Get a good book on this deck because you'll see how the pictures are telling you exactly what to say. It's really an easy deck to learn. Other decks may be more visually pleasing but they are designed for the artistic eye and not actual mental comprehension.

The Rider Waite deck is the most familiar, but I would also recommend the Spiral deck or the Gilded Tarot deck.
