Our birth mother has been in prison for over a year now and I guess decided she now wants to be part of our granddaughters life. Our son died when she was 9 months and finally 3 years ago the birth mother signed her rights away. She was too busy partying and having fun to be a parent to our granddaughter. I was hoping maybe someone else has gone through this and had some advise. In 2 weeks I've received 2 letters. It is making me so crazy! The mom has been arrested 25 times since our granddaughter was born. She is 7 now. I know the only reason she is writting now is that she is sober and it took a year for her to write! I seriously doubt that she is going to straighten up and be a productive citizen. My sister said just ignore the letters. When she gets out she will go back to her old ways. I guess I am just mad!
