Hi Lisa,

Your idea of hidey-hole gifts is very good. You are very creative and I enjoy hearing your ideas.

We are not on the same page with the ill people. You are talking about people who are bedridden. I was talking about people in the emotional throws of deviating illness, like newly diagnosed cancer people and their families who are in a hospital for surgery or chemo for the first time.

Or people I've met when I had my heart condition who's family members had heart transplants.

This group of people are shut in during very emotional times of their lives. Reading helps them get through it, and they are not online as they don't have the time.

I also know bedridden people who love to read and post reviews on Amazon.com. Simply two different groups of people.

I did not realize you were looking for a creative answer to your question. : - )

Anyway, great idea!!

Bluedolphin -

I'm open to any and all ideas and suggestions! No matter what their style.

I imagine there are people of all shapes, sizes, and colors out there. Indeed, one of the people I am thinking of in this discussion is newly diagnosed with cancer and was having chemo for the first time. Her escape was to hang out on Amazon. That's her "safe place" where she loves posting and feeling appreciated.

We all have different safe spaces. We all have different ways of coping with stress.

Some people hate reading while sick. To them reading is stressful and work. So there are all sorts of people out there, which is good. It brings us a wonderful diversity in our world.

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Yes it is wonderful to me that we are all so unique!

Here is a fun Pinterest board on fun and unique things to do with old books. I found it fascinating.

More ideas than I realized were out there.

Thank you for the fun chat. I enjoyed learning about all the things you can do with used books!

Enjoy the weekend,
