In almost every zombie movie I have watched, and there has been many, the one and only fat person meets with an untimely and gruesome demise. Most movies and television shoes treat being fat as an inevitable death sentence. Even zombie manuals (yes, they exist) purport that fat people will die first...

Too funny, Moe. And yet sad at the same time.

Hollywood does really put the overweight in a certain type of box. We are always the comic relief, never the heroic main character. Kirstie Ally tried with her shows "Veronica's Closet" and "Fat Actress" - but the public just didn't want shows where the obese done good.

I think it is changing a bit with the success of Mike and Molly in terms of sitcoms, although "being fat" is still the main joke. I am looking forward to Rebel Wilson's new sitcom too to see where it goes. But I really want to see a chubby action chic. laugh

I never noticed this before, but it's true. This reminds me of the one overweight character they had on The Walking Dead, the guy that shot Carl. He didn't stand a chance with Shane. Shane might have been limping because he hurt his leg, but the overweight guy was the one slowing them down so Shane used him as a sacrifice.
