I think if someone is allergic to one or many things or/and has a low tolerance that using a sample of a beauty product before is a good idea. I am lucky for that since I have no intolerances and allergies for my skin so I can try anything which is fun for body washes and lotions (have dandruffs though so cannot do that with shampoos). Ali
