Yesterday was one of those marathon interview days where we start interviewing at 9 am and finish up about 2. I must say I was surprised at the number of candidates who seemed totally unprepared for their interview. Some of their answers included:

"I don't really know. I'd just ask a supervisor"

"I feel all problems should be escalated to the manager so the patron will get mad at them instead of me"

"I guess I can just refer them to your office. hahaha...I guess I shouldn't say that"

"I don't know, I've never done that before." then total silence.

One candidate arrived ten minutes late, didn't apologize and said "well all the clocks in this place are different." - - so you're blaming us?

Do you think they were prepared for the interview?
