I've done sandwiches for guests many a time, be it traditional sandwiches with deli meats or burgers. I always set out condiments, sliced tomatoes and onions, lettuce, pickles, roasted red peppers, mild pickled banana peppers, side dishes, etc., and often times a bowl of fresh fruit salad. What seems like a really simple idea can turn out to be quite a substantial and tasty meal.

Hi Connie and all sarmy people!
Connie, please come up with some ideas for soups and sandwiches for the up coming 26th May Memorial Day.
How about inventing and designing and testing and checking a sandwich and a soup called Memorial Day Sarmy, and of course a Memorial soup.
By making this suggestion, I don't mean to be flippant about this very important date for you all, but with the idea of family get togethers, maybe each would come up with their own and start a bit of a family tradition?

I'm going to try a recipe I saw on FB - vegie burgers with half quinoa and half lentil beans and lots of herbs made into patties and lightly fried. Uses flour to hold the mixture together.
