I'm titling this watercolor work "Lizzy's Eyes" - does anybody know why?

Hi there Lisa and all,

Well who will not remember the fantastic mini-series made by the BBC of Pride and Prejudice? Colin Firth certainly made my heart flip!

Lizzy's eyes must surely belong to Miss Elizabeth Bennet who just didn't see what was in front of her nose ... until of course she saw it.

What a good idea for a piece of literature-meets-art. It's novel and great. You could really start a fashion by using the same idea and using other great works (ad infinitum) and calling for titles.

For a start can you imagine what you could do with Dickens? or Shakespeare? Oh dear - the mind boggles.

Thanks for this and cheers

P S For instance, what piece of writing could be called The Fall of Paris?

Dear Lestie -

Yes, but do you see why there is an "eyes" theme for this work? smile

"Drink to me only with thine eyes, and I will pledge with mine. Or leave a kiss ... "

That's a very subtle puzzle to work out! Is this a work to be displayed as is, or will it become an origami work?

Hi Lisa and all,

Phew! Edward de Bono would have given me a rap on my knuckles over this - for assuming that I had seen ALL that it was I needed to see by assuming the obvious.

Anyway, thanks to Grace I see the full picture - yep, "Drink to me only..."

Just for arguments sake do you think that it's something Mr Darcy would have said to Lizzie? Smiling as I suggest not - but then who can tell really?

Thanks for an interesting exercise,
Cheers
