How tall are you? I'm now 5 feet, 6 5/16 inches. I used to get measured at 5'7". During yoga today I felt my spine lengthen ... hmmm. I've heard about people "growing taller" after doing yoga, not that they end up taller than their "proper" height but more that they regained their natural height once their spine straightened properly again. So I'll be tracking to see if I do indeed get a bit taller as I get back into my daily yoga routine. Are you currently shorter than your "one time top height"?

I am 5'2". I used to be 5'5". I have Scoliosis so I keep shrinking. As I shrink my weight stays the same and just get round. I think yoga helps you to regain proper posture and you don't actually grow taller, you're just standing up straighter.

Terri -

I do think you stand up straighter, which helps. I also think the cartilage in between each vertebra fluffs out to its more natural shape, which can add inches in total.

Weight would also "squash down" that cartilage, which would add to the shrinking effect overall. I got up to just 140 from this trip so another quest is to get back down to the 125 range, and I bet that will help me regain my "lost height" too.
