Hello there,

I just thought that this subject would get lost if I left it under Shakespeare's birthday heading in the other post - so here is some of it ... and a new game of sorts, I hope you will join in.

Can you come up with some ideas of bumper stickers with a gardening theme?

How about:

'Fred said roses are red. Who's Fred?' OR

'Daisy hasn't answered yet!' OR

'The grass is greener there. I painted it.'

Okay, now it's your turn.

Cheers

Rocky soil or tough roots?
Take your pick.

Hi Lestie I can give you a bumper sticker that seems popular in Germany at the moment - translated:

Earth Day is Hot and Getting Hotter.....so we should perhaps take more care of our gardens in the widest sense.

Then there is 'I would rather be gardening'....which seems to appear on city cars not those in the countryside.

But I love your I'm a Green Queen. I'm a Gardener.

Now that fits the German mood perfectly ............now at least - but mine just about always. When dealing with slug, snails, hedgehog deposits and smelly compost......not so much smile

Hey Mona,

Thanks for this ... and if I were travelling in convoy for some reason or were following you by chance, my bumper sticker would say 'Neither' ... which would beg the question from the car behind me of 'What?'

Cheers

Hi Francine,

The German city dwellers beat me to it ... I had planned to say something similar like 'I'd rather be in my garden.'

Sorry about the double posting for Green Queen, had some finger trouble and was impatient. Still, if you can tell me how to delete it please do.

I really think that the sticker 'Earth Day is Hot and Getting Hotter' is really cool. Hah!

Anyway, enuf of that, here is my next suggestion -

'ARRGH! The Aphids are Winning.'

Cheers now and smiling, join in why don't you ...

Oh Yes ... as a Container Gardener in capital letters here is another one for today, couldn't resist it -

'My Garden is Potty, but then so Am I.'

Cheers

Well, I guess you don't get tough roots and hard soil in containers. But in big gardens, if you did, a pick would be handy. (Not that I would wield one, of course, but would happily supply the family gardener with one, if needed.) But I'm lovin' this convoy with your car saying "NEITHER" . . . the one behind you "HUH?" . . . the next one just "?" . . . followed by "Let me out of this crazy convoy."
