I don't remember my first craft. I think my Mom started me really young. We lived in what was then a really small town, and she kept me busy with lots of little activities and crafts. I am still grateful for that!

This was not my first craft project, but I remember making paper mâché turkeys that I would take to school in the sixth grade. I also remember making plaster of paris geographic maps of the United States. I used food coloring to show mountains, water, and so on. Those two projects were a blast!

I also remember making casts from animal foot prints when I was in Girl Scouts. I was amazed at how cool it was to have a fox cast.

My first piece was a metal ring I made using welding techniques. Also, I made a bracelet from some leather pieces which were lying in a junkyard.

My first crafts was a metal necklace, which I gifted to my father and mother on his 25th wedding anniversary.
