I have started a new thread here to share recipe ideas as well as other cooking ideas with tea. I had previously been posting recipes under the forum headings of Tea Tidbits & Tea in daily life. From this point on all food, drinks, and tea cooking related things/ideas can be posted here.
Thank You

For a children's Tea Party
Milk Tea is a suggestion for serving (unless child is lactose intolerant)
Milk tea is said to be of English origination? It is the "kiddie cocktail" of tea.
Simply made with "just warm" steeping water, decaffeinated fruit flavored black tea or fruit flavored tisane.
Popular flavor strawberry, blueberry or apricot. (there are so many kinds one can buy an assortment box of teas and let the child choose them *my suggestion)
Then add milk to it and children can choose to use a sugar cube to sweeten.
Have fun.

Who's making whoopie pies?
Seems like the cupcake popularity is waning to none other than the southern treat, a whoopee pie! Yes, did you know there is a whoopee pie cake maker?
Well if you're making them or buying the cake part I have great little unusual filling using tea:
Why not use matcha tea?
you need:
1 1/2 c. of powdered sugar 1 1/2 tsp. of matcha tea 3 oz of cream cheese (room temp) some marscarpone 6 tbsp. unsalted butter at room temp.
A large bowl, a hand mixer.
Step 1. sift together the powdered sugar and the matcha into the large bowl. then add cream cheese, marscarpone and butter.
Step2. beat with a mixer on low speed at first, then medium until smooth & creamy. About 2 to 3 minutes all together.
*easy filling can be used in sandwich cookies and on top of cupcakes. Refrigerate any left overs or once on whoopee pie or sandwich cookies. to ensure best taste.
** for marscarpone we used a couple of dollups

Want to do a fun and easy Halloween decoration for the front entrance??
Soak a large section of cheesecloth in a bucket of tea bags overnight. hang to dry. When dry, take the section or cut into sections and staple gun this to a small board. This then can be hung in an overhang or entrance to porch. Now simply cut random holes in the cheesecloth and then hand rip.
Simple and spooky. Have fun.

Since it's getting cold outside bring on the hot drinks especially tea!
Here's a fancy tea cocktail one can go to Marion St. Market, 100 S. Marion St, in Oak Park IL or one can "mock up" one similar at home:
Ingreds:
valrhona chocolate Tennessee whiskey steamed milk and Earl Grey Tea
Top w/chocolate chips, raw sugar, and peppermint pillows
*valrhona is a fine French chocolate that can be purchased in bars or in cocoa powder.
using these ingredients above one can make an enjoyable and fancy adult beverage for use during the holidays
Sounds delicious and decadent!
