Hmmm. Interesting. I am curious about extreme behaviors so I watch a lot of programs about people with compulsions (hoarding, overeating). I've learned from the "My 600 lb. Life" program that it isn't hunger that drives overeating.
Even with stomachs reduced to tiny pouches, patients will end up eating beyond the nausea and pain to stretch or pop the stomach, driven by their compulsion. It is sad to note that of all these 600+ lb. patients, less than five percent will succeed on a permanent basis.
On a personal note, I see a clear and distinct pattern with my own eating: Carbs make me hungry and crave more carbs.
