LOL Leslie - yep after reading the bacon dressing recipe which I now have to try, I can hear myself getting fatter smile Sounds delish though.

Never grown sprouts - my grandmother used to in England back in the day - on the stalk of course - I would love a garden again so I can wake up my dormant green thumbs smile

And I just posted my article for tomorrow for ARC and it was relatively healthy! Stuffed Spaghetti Squash! These things come along to tempt us - oh well! smile

Hi Allyson,

Why don't you have a garden? Do you have any space at all for containers? Do tell, thanks

Cheers

Leslie.

I moved 2 years ago to Brooklyn from California. I was able to grow my basil etc on the wall of the patio...however, my surroundings have changed. I now have a cement back yard (very private though) and the only place the sun hits are two small window ledges in my kitchen. I live upstairs. I wanted to try some herb pots (or one larger one with several herbs in it) would that be possible?

I know I could probably set something up in the cement yard with planning, I just haven't planned anything yet...would like to. If you have any suggestions I would be all ears..thanks for asking!

Can you place window boxes outside on your kitchen ledge? What time of day do you get sun in the ledge location?

I love brussel sprouts any way I can get them. For a quick cook I simply slice them in half and saute them in olive oil with salt, pepper, and garlic powder until they've browned a bit, but I have done them up in many ways.

Lestie!

I live in the middle of Brooklyn in a brownstone with a cement back yard. I used to grow long containers of basil in California on my patio ledge and they used to be so abundant I couldn't keep up with them - hence I made a ton of pesto! LOL

Sandra!

No I can't - I have no ledge outside my windows, my ledge is inside...the sun hits from approx. 1 p.m - 5 p.m. back there.

Debbie!

That's so simple and delicious! And yes, there are many ways to make sprouts a star just by using your imagination.

I love brussels sprouts, we eat them a few times each week. They are quite tasty when cooked well!
