I was watching my first Mae West movie, She Done Him Wrong when Mae West says to a 29 year old Cary Grant, "Why don't you come up sometime, see me, I'm home every evening..."
And I thought WOW! I'm finally seeing the quote I've been hearing since Penny would do her Mae West imitations on Good Times in the 1970s...only most people have been misquoting the line saying "why don't you come up and see me sometime..." when that is not exactly right.
