I'm moving in my new apartment. Everything is perfect except the bathtub. Its an older model tub and it looks a little rusted around the top. Is there something I can do to make it look more up to date? Like paneling or something to hide how old it is? I'm on a budget but I want to jazz up the bathroom a little. Any ideas will help just remember I'm renting so its not a permanent home.

I have an older house and this particular shower/bath has had a steady leak for years. The water is hot so it has caused a significant amount of chipping under the faucet. It also has stains from mold. I would like to remodel this bath room and will be getting the plumbing issue fixed soon but I would like to look into cheaper DIY ways other than replacing the tub.
