Be the change you want to see. This week's article, Creating Positive Surroundings is a part two to "Positively Living". In it I talk about changing your home and assessing your relationships. Most importantly though, I talk about being a role model for positivity. So, this week's challenge (beginning Sunday, January 26th) is to speak positive, supporting words. Choose carefully. Make your words sincere. Be loving and supportive to you and to others. Let's go!

Speaking positive supportive words to friends and family is easy. Staying out of the gossip is where it might be a bit challenging.
A few tips to avoid it:
1) Walk away 2) Change the subject (try it up to 3x in the conversation; it makes a stmt) 3) Chime in with a positive statement; one that offers a more empathetic voice 4) Say something (this one is hard); "this topic doesn't feel like a solution." 5) Suggest the challenge to the group; "hey, I'm in this challenge…u should join me."
Goodluck! I know you can do it.

I know that I tend to be a positive, happy person but still, there are moments when I DO say negative things. Especially about myself. Sometimes, I make negative remarks, not in judgment but in observation. That's STILL looking at negativity.
I don't dwell on it, I tell myself. And being aware of some negative aspects of situations and others may be important for various reasons.
Still, I would like to accept your challenge of not adding to negativity by speaking negative words. After all, you were right in your other article about the yin-yang of everything. There is a yin-yang balance within everyone and everything but which do I wish to focus upon?
I will return and report on my efforts and the results!

Yes, good idea to release all mentioned in that list.
People-pleasing is something that I need to work on.
