Since both Chinese and Tibetan New Year are celebrated as Buddhist holidays in Buddhist communities, I always like to offer an overview of the energies predicted to be active in their shared astrological systems:
2014- Year of the Horse It is interesting to note that although these systems are called 'astrology' they are not based on constellations the way that Western astrology is. Instead these systems are built upon theories of cycling energies, that impact us all. Horse years are 'galloping', active years.
