What moves do you make every new year?

You may want to hold a little more in cash this year. Then you can take advantage of higher interest rates or have money to purchase stocks if they drop in value.

Thanks for these great tips! Instinctually, I've been telling my husband the same thing for 3 yrs. now.

He's just now starting to get it. Before, it was more, "Mhmmm, ok...we'll get there at some point." This year, lol, it was like collar grabbing shirt, eyeball to eyeball contact and a,

"Listen to me closely. STAT, cash time! I don't care if it's $1.00, I don't care if it's nickles, dimes and quarters, but it's crunch-time and we need to start setting aside cash and deal w/the if's and when's another time!"

Has anyone adjusted their budget for the new year?

I review my budget every year and see that it is in line with my goals, which I also review and update.
