I recommend the Party-Tizers Ancient Grain Dippin' Chips as part of a great sandwich meal. They have a pleasant taste and texture. These chips have the perfect shape for handling the right amount of a dip. They don't buckle under a heavy load! Their website lists stores that carry these chips. Hi Connie, these sound a really good (if calorific) buy for a party table or event - we have good flavourful and delicious crisps here in South Africa that help and can handle thick dips, but nothing quite as sophisticated in design. How about posting some of your magical dip recipes? My favourite I have to say is mashed Fuerte avocados with a touch of apple-cider vinegar, low sodium salt and white pepper. Simple and delicious. Lestie, look for oodles and scads of recipes after May. Until then, I am working 105 hours a week, which leaves time to develop just a couple of recipes a month. Keep sending the ideas, though. I have missed your creativity.

Well, our 20 ounce bag is officially gone. We liked these plain, with soup and sandwiches, and with salsa.

My goodness Connie - do you find the time to breathe? Why are you so busy - or are you always this busy? Good luck anyway, and yes for sure I will look out for your dips recipes etc coming up.
In the meantime here is another popular dip I have made which is even more simple but oh so finished at any time I serve it. Just take as much cream cheese as you have friends coming, (I regularly use three punnets) and add finely chopped store-bought 'pickled' pepperdew. I sometimes add a dash of Tabasco. More please. Looks pretty too. Cheers now

Hi Connie and all,
A pepperdew is a pepper, a cultivar of Capsicum baccatum, that looks like a cherry tomato and has a sweet piquante taste (hardly hot as in chillie) that sort of makes it onto the Scoville Scale. They are grown and harvested here in S A (I thought they would be all over the world), but I read that there is a winery in New Jersey, Pepperdew Fresh Vinyards, which is the only farm in the United States that cultivates them. This pepper cultivar was discovered in South Africa in the mid '90s.
I guess if they are not readily available all around the US, then you could make your own version by pickling some red peppers (like Peter Piper who picked the peck) after roasting them, removing the skins and cutting them into fine strips then storing them in bottles of a vinegar, honey and olive oil mix with salt and pepper I guess.
Tell me more if you can and whether or not you try to make your own. Maybe there is another bottled sweet pickle available in the shops which you could use?
Cheers now

Lestie's dip sounded delicious. I can get the peppers from Amazon, but WOWIE, they are expensive. Maybe, I'll get a jar for my birthday!
What dip would you use with these tasty chips? Now, your turn...
