Easy Yoga for Easing Pain DVD Review

Since injuring my hip, my physicians have encouraged me to replace even low-impact exercise with very low- to non-impact exercise. While recovering, the gentle yoga exercises found on the DVD Easy Yoga for Easing Pain have helped me to effectively exercise with undue strain or re-injury.

Great article. I will have to check out this DVD. I have fibromyalgia, and I have found yoga to be tremendously helpful. I really helps ease the pain and energize the body.

I'm glad that you found this article useful, Sandra. I do think that this DVD could be just as beneficial for fibromyalgia. I have also enjoyed yoga in the past, but usually more along the "power yoga" end, and have found this DVD to help me to learn the slower, gentler side of yoga while I am healing.

I have been doing Silver Sneakers Chair Yoga for 3 years now. It's made a HUGE difference in my flexibility and balance. As my CMT progresses I know I won't regret doing this yoga and swimming twice a week. I truly believe that we all will benefit from keeping the muscles that we have as strong as possible for as long as possible. I'm going to look for the DVD so I can use it at home on the cold wintery days that seem to have come so early this year.

Susan, I have also found that yoga helps my balance and flexibility, and strength as well. I've never tried the yoga program you refer to, but I'll have to look for it. I found this yoga program in the video section of a large bookstore.
