I have updated my article on Astronomy Books as Gifts. It might help with some Christmas buying.

If anyone has any questions about books, do ask . . . but realize I don't guarantee to have the answer!

I've been checking through my article Astronomy Presents - for Kids to make sure it's up-to-date.

I can say that since the last up date John Williams's Hubble Star Cards have won another award and been mentioned in the NBC News Science page's Geek Gift Guide. Educators and gift-buyers, here is the Hubble Star Cards site. If you decide to buy, enter THANKS as a coupon code and you can get 15% off.

If you have anything to recommend, let me know.

If you're thinking of buying one the Year in Space calendars, be sure to tick one of the boxes on the order form to get it for $12.95 instead of $16.95. Any one will do - since I've been buying the desk calendar for years and love it, you can say "Recommended by a friend"! There are further savings if you buy more than one.

BTW The wall calendar was named "Science Geek Gift of the Year" by MSNBC's Cosmic Log website.

You can have a look here at The Year in Space.
