This is a very nice tribute, Susan.
I know an 88 year old man who is a Veteran and surviving prisoner of war. What he saw and went through during his younger years in the military was horrendous, yet he is the kindest and sweetest man.
My brother in law is recently retired from the military, and he is not without permanent disability for his many years of service. The longevity and quality of his life going forward is uncertain.
All of our Veterans deserve our deepest respect for their sacrifice.
