Should kids read The Hunger Games? I read the series to assess the appropriateness for my daughter. Here's what I decided...

Kids and The Hunger Games

Have you let your kids read the books or see the movies? Share your thoughts...

Maybe they get to read Book One now and each year as they get older they can read the next book?

Hi Nicki,

Since so many parents struggle with whether or not to let their children read secular books, I read the first book and saw the movie so that I could write a review for Christian Literature. That was enough for me. I have no plans to continue with the remainder of the series. If parents are going to let their children read the books and see the movie, I really do not feel that it is appropriate for elementary or middle school aged children.

My daughter already seen the movie, she's not fond of reading so I guess she don't have enough patience to read the whole book or the even the whole series.
